Ms. Christine - Director of Operations

Hey families!

I earned two associates in Sociology and Social and Behavioral Sciences from Chaffey College and soon after graduated with my Bachelor's in Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona University. I have been working in the field of education for nearly 9 years and is truly my passion. Throughout my teaching career, I have accumulated crucial knowledge and techniques to modify and improve my craft as an educator while also attending career development programs, seminars, and workshops. I have worked with a variety of youth age groups from Infants to Middle School at several education centers, while also providing independent ed. courses, tutoring, and life coaching services to groups or individuals.

I am a firm believer that active self-development is one of the most important traits a person can possess, even more so as an educator! We are role models for our students. I am the type of educator that will not only teach about academics, but also to teach about the world, humanity, life skills, emotions, goal mindsets, and self-improvement. My goal is not only to get students to reach academic excellence but to also guide students to become the best version of themselves, develop a curiosity about the world, have compassion, critically think, and be equipped with important life skills and values.

"Teachers of all walks of life and subjects have the ability to shape opinions and help form ideas about society, life and personal goals. Teachers can also expand students' limits and push their creativity. Teaching is a tough job, but it is one where you can make the most impact in another person's life." - University of People

Ms. Jing - Mandarin Teacher

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in The Capital Normal University at the city of Bei Jing and have more than five years’ experience as a learning coach at Multinational Corporation. I was later awarded the first level certificate of China Mandarin test (PSC).

I am full of excitement and passion about teaching mandarin and supporting students to grow, shine and succeed. Many of us dream of being able to effortlessly converse in many languages, so why not start with the second most spoken language of the world!

I will be guiding students with various learning styles through reading, idiom & Chinese poetry videos, and storytelling while being devoted to creating a fun, engaging, and efficient learning environment for students of different level.

Let’s face it—multilingualism is a widely desired trait. It’s a key that unlocks new cultures and ways of thinking. The benefits are numerous: speaking a second language increases cognitive abilities like problem solving, creativity, and memory.

FUN FACT!: Becoming and being bilingual actually makes you smarter!

Ms. Alina - Elementary Age Teacher

I am currently attending Grand Canyon University to earn my Bachelors in Elementary Education, where I am taking courses focused on social and emotional learning, technology, and diversity inclusion in the classroom. At Gulu Gulu, you will catch me teaching Social Studies, Art, Science, Spanish, and various Life Skills. While I have always felt driven to be an elementary school educator, the joy I have felt facilitating the growth and development of the students at Gulu Gulu only reaffirmed my passion. You will be amazed as you watch your child bloom as a friend, reader, writer, mathematician, scientist, thinker, and so much more!

A little bit about me? I am extremely family oriented and love spending any free time with them. I love to read, at the moment fantasy books are my go to! I am a big foodie, I love to try new restaurants and different types of food. Give me your recommendations! I love anything and everything Disney, you can find me at Disneyland at least once a week!

“If some students are unresponsive maybe you can’t teach them yet, but you can love them. And if you love them today, maybe you can teach them tomorrow.” - Jeffrey R. Holland

Ms. Julie - PreK Onsite Coach, English and Math teacher

I am currently an enrolled student at Purdue University, diligently working towards the attainment of a Bachelor's degree in the field of Cyber Security. Prior to my academic journey at Purdue University, I had the privilege of attending University of La Verne, where I also dedicated two years of my life to the sport of softball.

At present, my professional endeavors lead me to Gulu Gulu, where I serve as a Preschool Teacher, with a special focus on imparting the intricacies of mathematics to young minds. My previous educational focus was in the realm of cyber security; however, I have chosen to redirect my academic and career path towards education.

The catalyst for my decision to become an educator can be traced back to my experiences in team sports. I derive immense satisfaction from collaborating with a diverse group of individuals to achieve a common objective. Miraculously, the atmosphere at Gulu Gulu mirrors this sense of collective purpose, as I collaborate with an exceptional team of educators to guide each of our students towards their unique aspirations, whether they be ambitious or modest. A cornerstone of my teaching philosophy lies in my commitment to understanding each student on a personal level, allowing me to tailor my instructional approach to cater to their individual needs.

In addition to my athletic pursuits, I also served as a Corporal Explorer Cadet in the San Bernardino County Explorer Program - Rancho Cucamonga. For leisure, I relish spending quality time with my family, participating in slow-pitch softball during weekends, and cherishing the company of my two feline companions, Kitty and Fred.

FUN FACT: I excelled as a 3rd Baseman during my softball tenure.
